Pelvic floor problems are common, and they're treatable.

Bladder leaks, weakness after childbirth, changes at menopause and men's pelvic health concerns are among the most under-treated conditions in the country. They're also among the most responsive to the right treatment.

The BetterPelvi pelvic floor chair rebuilds pelvic floor strength in 28-minute sessions, fully clothed, without effort or discomfort.

Talking about pelvic floor problems can feel awkward, especially before a first appointment. Please don't let that stop you. This is what we do. There's nothing you'll say that we haven't heard before, and we won't make you feel silly for asking anything.

What actually happens

You sit on the chair, fully clothed, for 28 minutes. The chair uses electromagnetic stimulation to exercise your pelvic floor muscles far more intensively than voluntary exercises can achieve, without effort, discomfort or undressing. Most patients read or simply relax during a session.

The stimulation is powerful but controlled. You'll feel your pelvic floor working — a firm tightening sensation — but there's no pain. Your practitioner sets the intensity, stays with you at the start of the session, and adjusts it as your muscles strengthen.

For women

You don't simply have to live with it

You don't simply have to live with it

If you plan your day around toilets, avoid the trampoline with the grandchildren, or cross your legs before you sneeze, you're far from alone — and it isn't something you simply have to live with.

The pelvic floor chair helps women dealing with:

  • Stress incontinence (leaks when you laugh, sneeze, cough or exercise)

  • Urge incontinence and frequent night-time waking

  • Weakness after childbirth, including years after

  • Changes at menopause and post-menopause

  • Reduced sensation and intimate health concerns

FOR MEN

Rarely talked about, easily treated

Rarely talked about, easily treated

Pelvic floor weakness affects men too, often after prostate treatment or simply as part of ageing, and it's rarely talked about. The chair offers an easy, private way to rebuild strength.

The pelvic floor chair helps men dealing with:

  • Bladder control issues after prostate surgery

  • Night-time waking and urgency

  • Post-vasectomy or post-hernia recovery

  • Intimate health concerns
