What happens at your scan
-
Arrive and share your story
We start with a proper conversation about what's going on — how long you've had the pain, where it is, what makes it better or worse, and what you've already tried. Your practitioner takes a full case history so the scan results are read in context.
-
The scan itself
You stand comfortably in front of the scanner, fully clothed. The infrared camera takes a series of readings in a few minutes. Nothing touches you, and there's no radiation.
-
Your results, explained
Your practitioner walks you through the results on screen the same visit. You'll see exactly where the imbalances are, how your body is compensating, and how that links to the pain you came in with.
-
Your recommended plan
You'll leave with a clear picture of what's happening and an honest recommendation for how to fix it — a course of osteopathic treatment, spinal decompression, exercises to do at home, or a combination.

Frequently asked questions
No. The scan is taken through fitted clothing. We suggest leggings and a close-fitting top so the scanner can read your posture accurately, but you stay fully clothed throughout.
Allow 30 minutes for the whole appointment, including the case history and the walkthrough of your results.
No referral is required. You can book directly.
Yes, and it helps. Any previous MRI, X-ray or ultrasound reports give us useful context. Bring them along or email them ahead of your appointment.
Please let us know when you book if any of the above applies to you. We'll check the manufacturer guidance for your particular situation before your appointment, so we can be sure the scan is appropriate for you.
