What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a system of care that focuses on a whole body approach to health care. Osteopaths do not simply treat the symptomatic area, but uses gentle and effective hands-on technique and nutritional advice to balance all systems of the body, to provide overall good health and well-being.
Osteopaths undergo a minimum of 5 years of university training with special emphasis on anatomy (body structure) and its normal physiology (how the body functions physically and chemically). They are experts in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of problems in the musculoskeletal system.
