What  is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a system of care that focuses on a whole body approach to health care. Osteopaths do not simply treat the symptomatic area, but uses gentle and effective hands-on technique and nutritional advice to balance all systems of the body, to provide overall good health and well-being.

Osteopaths undergo a minimum of 5 years of university training with special emphasis on anatomy (body structure) and its normal physiology (how the body functions physically and chemically). They are experts in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of problems in the musculoskeletal system.

Osteopathy is a recognised treatment for many conditions involving the bones, muscles, ligaments and nervous system. It may be effective in the management and treatment of back pain, sciatica, neck pain, migraines, poor posture, sport injuries, pregnancy and much more.

Our team of osteopaths use a wide range of treatment approaches including soft tissue massage, stretching, muscle energy, mobilisation, manipulation and dry needling.
